One of the most common questions I get from parents during photo sessions is if I have tons of photos of my own boys. The answer is YES I do, BUT the surprising thing is that I take photos of them from my phone most often. Those every day photos are still cell phone shots, and not necessarily from my fancy, and heavy, DSLR!
As a photographer, those professional photo sessions are priceless, and I make sure to schedule multiple every year with my own family. Those are the photos that go on my wall, in the albums and on my social media profiles (haha)! But for those in between moments that happen every day, my phone is the tool I use the most. The best camera you have is the one you have with you!
