This past weekend the weather was too nice to stay inside. So my sister, Mom and I decided to go on a photo field trip to the Red Mill Museum. We got there only 15 minutes before the museum closed but we were still able to get some nice photos of the neighboring town of Clinton. It was one of the few times the sun came out all winter and it felt awesome. We even stopped for ice cream which of course became the highlight of the trip.
We ended up staying less than an hour but it was nice to finally be outside in the sunshine – helps get rid of some of those winter blues that get really old by the time March rolls around.
I also had the chance to practice backlighting on my sister. I am going to write up another post just on backlighting but it is quickly becoming my favorite go-to style. She was probably tired of me taking photos of her while she was trying to practice her own photography. But it was fun for me! I love the fact that she is getting into photography using my Mom’s Canon Rebel.

Beautiful set Megan!!
Thanks Marc!
